Primary Education
Almost all of the city's primary schools cater for the full primary age range, and there are also two infant and two junior schools.
The City Council runs a 'wraparound' service that provides before and after-school childcare at 11 Coventry primary schools. This scheme has run since 1996 and has been held up as an example of good practice to other authorities. A report from University College Worcester, said that the scheme has had a positive impact on children's personal, social, linguistic, academic and behavioural development.
Our government approved Infant Class Size Plan has been put into action, to ensure that all infant classes, (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2), have no more than 30 children.
